Deutsch Hi! My name is Steve, i was born and grown in Switzerland and i am travelling the planet since 15 years. Jewellery, Hilltribes, South-East Asia, the Himalayas, Languages and Antiks - these are my ever-mates and followers over this beautiful periode of travellingtime. Small parts of Northern Africa, Europe and almost the whole Continent of Southamerica i have done in my travellingtime. But my Love is with no doubt South-East Asia. And its from no other place than there where i grabbed my most precious pieces of my personal collection from 15 years of shopping-madness to show you here and now! The antik Afghanistan Karnelion Beads (2000 - 4000 years old) are definetely the peak of my collection All the Rings, Pendants and Bracellets are designed by me and handmade by Mr. Gome Shankar, the Royal Nepali Goldsmith from Kathmandu himself, his cousin Mr. Sanu and his youngest Brother Mr. Krshna. Mr. Shankars family is goldsmith at the Royal Palace in Kathmandu since ever. They look back at a long and proud tradition All the tools Mr. Shankar is using, are handmade (file, hammer, drill etc.) and remember a forgotten time of jewellery making. Gold and Silver are melted over the open fire, cleaned and prepared for the hours-long hammering and then with the mouthblow-technique, which is an old Nepali tradittion, made into Royal Jewellery to finally polish it with an own made tool out of a nail - simply amazing!
